Hard turning - efficiency in the finishing of hardened components

We are a manufacturer of hard turned parts and machine hardened materials above 45 HRC with the highest precision. In many cases, hard turning replaces grinding and enables economical finishing with excellent dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

We manufacture rotationally symmetrical components up to Ø 200 mm and lengths up to 400 mm, which are machined dry or with minimum quantity lubrication using CBN or ceramic cutting materials. Thanks to precision-ground clamping technology, stable tool holders and automated process control, we achieve tolerances of up to ± 0.005 mm and surface roughnesses of up to Ra 0.3 µm - ideal for finish machining hardened steels in series quality.

Our machines with multi-channel control and thermostable machine base ensure constant precision in series production. Measuring systems and SPC analyses monitor geometry, hardness and surface roughness directly in the process. This enables continuously stable series production with the tightest tolerances - crucial for applications where grinding was previously indispensable.

Hard turning technology enables the precise machining of extremely hard and wear-resistant materials with permanently reproducible quality. Thanks to optimally coordinated cutting values, cooling strategies and tool geometries, components are produced with maximum tool life and the highest dimensional accuracy.

Our production systems combine CNC lathes, hydrostatic guides and digital process monitoring.
Data is recorded in real time via a closed-loop system with predictive maintenance functions that automatically compensate for tool wear.

CAD/CAM integration (e.g. Inventor, Esprit) enables components to be programmed directly from 3D models - this reduces set-up times, increases repeat accuracy and allows quick adjustments to be made in the event of geometry or hardness changes.
